Our fully CO2-neutral production site is equipped with the latest and most advanced technologies, allowing us to reduce our carbon footprint without compromising on quality. Not only our production site is included, but our entire scope 1 and 2 activities, as well as partial scope 3 activities. This includes among others all transport to construction sites, the small fraction of waste still generated in operations, our electricity and heat consumption, business travel and employee commuting.
In 2020, we made this full calculation across scope 1 and 2 and part of scope 3 for the first time. Our goal is twofold : further identifying our impact in scope 3 and continuous improvement through our reduction measures.
We committed to -42% reduction by 2030 on scope 1 and 2 and -25% reduction on scope 3.
In 2022, our impact in scope 1 and 2 was around 763.36 t CO2-eq. In line with this, and with the scope 3 portion surveyed, we opted for immediate action by supporting climate projects through CO2-logic (South Pole).
Thus, Beddeleem has been CO2 neutral since 2020 and we continue to work towards a climate-neutral future for all of us through our reduction targets.
